About SpikeRest
SpikeRest is a US-focused shop built around one product category we know well: acupressure mats and pillow sets. We don't try to sell everything for the home — we picked one thing, tested it properly, and built the whole site around telling you the truth about it.
The acupressure mat category is full of dramatic marketing: claims about curing back pain, unblocking energy, or burning fat while you nap. None of that is something we're willing to say, because it isn't supported by the evidence and it isn't how these products actually work. What we can say, honestly, is that a spiky mat is a simple, low-cost tool that a lot of people use to unwind for a few minutes a day — and that's the story we tell on this site, with real buyer photos, real (if occasionally lukewarm) reviews, and specs we've actually measured rather than copied from a supplier's marketing page.
Why we exist
Most acupressure mat listings online are thin: a few stock photos, a wall of five-star reviews that all sound the same, and vague promises that don't hold up to a second look. We built SpikeRest because we thought buyers deserved better — a page that shows the mat's actual dimensions next to its main competitors, includes the handful of average reviews along with the glowing ones, and is upfront about what a 66 × 40 cm mat is and isn't. Curated and tested by one person
Every mat, color, and pillow combination sold under the SpikeRest name has gone through the same person: Maya Ellison, our Wellness Product Tester & Curator. Maya runs timed sessions on each color variant as part of her own evening wind-down routine, checks how the velcro closure and foam insert hold up after repeated use, and notes honestly where the sensation is milder or sharper than expected. She turns down more references than she approves — if a mat's construction, sizing claims, or supplier photos don't match what she finds when it arrives, it doesn't make it onto this site. Honest by default
We don't post fake reviews, we don't invent five-star ratings, and we tell you where a budget-friendly product has limits. Our reviews page includes 29 unedited buyer photos — including a few three-star comments about thin fabric or milder-than-expected spikes — because a page with only perfect reviews isn't believable, and it isn't the kind of shop we want to run. We'd rather you know upfront that our mat is a compact 66 × 40 cm format, not a full-body-length mat like some premium brands, than have you surprised after checkout.
